She is a former Judge of the Regional Electoral Court of the State of Rio de Janeiro, acting from December 2010 to July 2015, and former Principal of Escola Judiciária Eleitoral do Rio de Janeiro (EJE-RJ), acting from March 2011 to December 2013. She was further Professor of Civil Law in the Graduation Program of the Higher Law School, from 1993 to 2001; a Member in the Organization Committee for the V Selection Process of Federal Judge to the 2nd Region Federal Regional Court, nominated by the Federal Board of the Brazilian Bar Association (2004/2005); Member in the Examination Board for the VI Selection Process of Federal Judge to the 2nd Region Federal Regional Court, nominated by the Federal Board of the Brazilian Bar Association (2005/2006); and Law and Arbitration by Getúlio Vargas Foundation (Rio de Janeiro), since 2004.

In November 2018, she was elected Vice-President of the Brazilian Bar Association, Section of the State of Rio de Janeiro for the 2019-2021 triennium. In 2019, she was nominated as Member of the Permanent Forum of the Arbitration Commission of the Escola da Magistratura do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – EMERJ. In 2020, she was nominated as Member of Advisory Excellence. In August 2021, she founded the Brazilian Institute for Studies in Data Protection – IBRADADOS, assuming the Presidency until April 2022. In November 2021, she was reelected Vice-President of the Brazilian Bar Association, Section of the State of Rio de Janeiro for the 2022-2024 triennium. In May 2022, she was appointed Member of the Permanent Forum of Transparency and Administrative Probity, of the Escola da Magistratura do Estado do Rio de Janeiro-EMERJ. In June 2022, was invited by FIRJAN (Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Rio de Janeiro) to be counselor of the Women’s Council and also in June 2022, was appointed as President of the Commission for Procedural Celerity of the Brazilian Bar Association, Section of the State of Rio de Janeiro.

In 2014, Mrs. Basilio received the Medal of Judiciary Merit, from the Justice Court of Rio de Janeiro and in 2015, she received the Medal of Merit from the Federal Regional Court of Rio de Janeiro. In September,2019 The Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro – ALERJ bestowed to her the Tiradentes Medal and in the same year, she received the Medal of Merit of the School of Magistrates of the State of Rio de Janeiro – EMERJ. In August, 2022 she received the Medal of Merit Pedro Ernesto from the Municipal Chamber of Rio de Janeiro.
